The indicator and hand-back

During a takeover you can always see that an agent is in control, and you can always take control back.

The indicator

A frame around the screen and a label show that a takeover is active. Clicks pass through it, so it never blocks your work. It cannot be hidden by the agent.

Hand-back

When you move the mouse or press a key, the driver stops at its next check.
It releases every key and button it was holding and reports user_took_over to the host.
The indicator then says "You took over · Continue when ready".
Only your click on its Continue button, or on a resume control in the host app, lets the agent go on.
